The Friends of Prince Memorial Library is a nonprofit organization supported by the generosity of people in our community.  Your kind gifts enhance library programming and services that are beyond the allotted town budget.

 

Our fundraising activities include the Annual Appeal, book sales in October and February, and the ongoing book sale at the library. Thanks to your critically important donations, the Friend support the PML in many ways, including the following:

 

Youth Services Programs 

Prince Memorial Library Youth and Teen Services serves children and teens ages 0-19 and their families.

We partner with community members, local schools and educators, daycares, and community organizations to provide enriching programming for kids, teens, and families.

We provide inclusive, safe spaces for kids and teens to study, relax, and connect with friends.

We maintain robust and diverse collections for academic pursuits as well as personal enjoyment.

We meet each child, teen, and family where they are at, and respond to the ever-evolving needs of our community.

 

Community Engagement

 

PML Digital Library The Friends are providing a kickstart to build PML's digital collection of ebooks, audio books, and magazines.

Admission Passes: We also provide admission passes to the Portland Museum of Art, Children’s Museum & Theater of Maine, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Farnsworth Art Museum, Maine Wildlife Park, Maine Maritime Museum, Maine State Parks and the Maine State Museum. 

 

Library Gardens A pollinator garden was added for all to enjoy.
